Why adopt?

Adoption truly is a life-changing experience, both for children and adopters and is a way of giving a child the love and security of a permanent family life when they cannot live with the family they were born into.

Adoption offers a stable home to children who may otherwise face uncertainty, neglect, or hardship. It provides them with a chance for a better life and opportunities they might not have had otherwise.

Adoption is a legal procedure and when a child becomes adopted, they become a full member of their new family, and the adopted parents have full parental rights and responsibilities.

However, here at Kibble Adoption we understand the importance of identity and believe that all children need to know where they came from. We will work closely with you to ensure that you also understand why this is so important and how this will evolve over time.

Ultimately, adoption is a deeply personal choice, and the reasons vary widely among individuals and families. Some reasons include infertility, the desire to be a parent, growing your family even if you already have biological children, you may have the ability to provide a child with a stable home environment, genetic conditions in your family or you may have your own personal experience of being adopted.

Each adoption story is unique and reflects the varied reasons and hopes of those involved.

Our decision to become a family came with uncertainty as all life’s major decisions do. No one in our wee family of 4 share DNA, but the love and attachments we shared are absolutely no different to biological families. This is adoption’s biggest gift, and we will be forever grateful for our wonderful children and creation of our family
